Theater begins with a cloakroom and so does the museum of one of the most famous Russian playwrights of the 20th century. Just like down the rabbit hole in “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” through the cloakroom you can get somewhere to the past of flat № 50. There are a lot of old suitcases, hand satchels, umbrellas and hats that have travelled pretty much round the world. And the chest keeps its own secret. Even the coat hooks here are from different countries, cities, houses… There is a special coat-rack high above the ceiling. Once it is from the hallway of Mikhail Bulgakov’s last apartment and once the writer’s coats and hats were hanging on it.
The author of the exposition — Alexandra Selivanova.
