Wood, carving, lacquer. The 19th century, Europe. Making his home in a large communal apartment Mikhail Bulgakov tried to decorate somehow the abstemious interior. Thus, appeared a walnut oval table with curved legs and a long bookshelf decorated with two Sphinxes on both sides. This is the only piece in the whole collection which beyond all doubt was in this room in the early 1920«s. Acquired in 2009 from the Kreshkov family.
